ABOUT THE FUND

Mark Owusu - Chairman

While residing in the U.K., Mr. Owusu worked for a number of organizations including Tarmac Construction Limited, a major U.K.-based construction firm, where he worked as an Accountant. He joined USADF as an Accounting Consultant and eventually became the Country Program Coordinator.

 

Mr. Owusu holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Thames Valley University and is also a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) from the U.K. He attended Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from 1980 to 1984 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science. Mr. Owusu is an Enterprise Development Specialist and has assisted small to medium size businesses, cooperatives and communities in Ghana to build financial and managerial capacities.

 

His passion is to see more economic and social development in marginalized communities. Currently Mark works with the Safe Water Network Ghana Program as Finance and Admin Director and supports the Country Director in the smooth running of the organization. Safe Water Network is a multi-national organization operating from New York with very clear goals of achieving sustainable, safe and affordable access to water by applying market principles for people in need.
