ABOUT THE FUND

Lawrencia Adams - Treasurer

Her technical expertise embraces rights-based and policy/advocacy approaches to programming, and the organizational development of SMES, NGOS, Civil Society Organizations, and Rural People’s Organizations. She is a gender specialist with a focus on formulation of innovative social development projects using the participatory approach.

 

She currently serves on the Governing Boards of Access Agriculture, Kenya and The West Africa Rural Foundation. She was the 2010 winner of the Ray Almeida Fellowship, awarded by the Partnership to Cut Hunger in Africa, Washington.

 

She has worked for organizations such as the UNDP, NEPAD, UNECA, OECD, USAID, AFRICALEAD and as Coordinator of the Learning Network for Capacity Development (LENCD). She was the Programme Manager for Strengthening Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in Ghana (STAR-Ghana), a civil society and governance programme.

 

Prior to this she was the Team Leader of the Ghana Research and Advocacy Programme (G-rap), a multi-donor fund supporting the work of think tanks in policy advocacy and governance. She was also the Coordinator of the Pan-African Organization for Sustainable Development (POSDEV).
