ADOMFIE INTEGRATED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The Ghanaman Trust Fund refurbished the Adomfie Vocational Training Centre training with modern equipment for teaching catering and food processing as well as dress and textile making. The Centre was established by Adomfie Integrated Community Development, an NGO in the Eastern Region. The NGO also mobilized 120 widows under a project called Widows Empowerment Programme; members of the group use the facilities in the catering department to bake bread and other pastries to sell in Kuruntumi and its environs. The Centre currently has 38 regular students and it has introduced new courses in Hospitality Management and Medical Assistantship. The project has been officially commissioned.
